Vendée Globe Qualification & Challenge
Pip secures qualification for the 2024 Vendée Globe with a 9th place finish in the New York Vendée Race.
During the race, Pip is dismasted in the Southern Ocean. She self-rescues and sails 800 nautical miles to Melbourne, Australia.
2023
Technology Upgrade
The boat is fitted with the latest-generation foils.
Pip finishes the season finale, Retour à la Base, in 11th place.
2022
Consistent Performance
In its first full season, the team finishes 8th overall in the IMOCA Globe Series.
2021
Resilience in the Southern Ocean
7 January — Alone, nearly 1,000 miles from land, Pip replaces a damaged rudder at sea to stay in the race.
12 February — Pip finishes the Vendée Globe in 19th place, outperforming her boat’s ranking by 13 positions.
She becomes the 8th woman and 10th British sailor in history to complete the race.
May — Pip Hare Ocean Racing is formally established.
The team purchases a 2016 generation foiling IMOCA with a top-ten Vendée Globe ambition.

As COVID-19 halts global sport, the Vendée Globe is confirmed to go ahead.

Qualification Against the Odds
